Link On Demand Hours Extended

Link On DemandAs a result of feedback from residents and employees, the City of Lone Tree extended the hours of service for its on-demand micro transit pilot program, Link On Demand – Powered by Uber, to include Friday evenings and weekends.

Link On Demand is now available during the following hours:
Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

This weekend Link On Demand provided nearly 50 rides during the soft launch of its extended hours to destinations such as Park Meadows Retail Resort, the Forks, Corks & Ales Festival, as well as, many restaurants throughout the area.

Anyone requesting a ride through the Uber app with a pick up location and destination within Lone Tree city limits will see the free Link On Demand option.

Although riders use the standard Uber app to book their rides, they are picked up in one of the City’s branded 12-passenger shuttles driven by professional drivers.  In addition, these shuttles are wheelchair accessible, have bike racks and are kid-friendly.  The higher capacity vehicle allows ride-sharing on a more significant scale to eliminate vehicle trips and reduce congestion.

Since its launch on August 16, this service has provided more than 1,400 rides in Lone Tree.  Community members have utilized this service to get to and from work, run errands or have lunch, among other things.
