Exploring the Light 2017

Exploring the Light will run from March 16th, 2017 - May 17th, 2017 at the Lone Tree Arts Center and is presented by the Lone Tree Arts Commission and the Lone Tree Photo Club, with support from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD).

Exploring the Light Opening Cocktail Reception
Saturday, April 1st, 3pm-5pm
Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street
Music, light appetizers and a cash bar

Viewing hours: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday and two hours before productions at The Lone Tree Arts Center.

All images are available for purchase through the Lone Tree Arts Center Box Office.

Joseph Roybal

Josephy Roybal is a professional fine art landscape photographer based in Denver, Colorado. Joseph's passion for photography comes from a simple love of the outdoors and being amongst the peaks, along the ocean's coastline or middle of a meadow full of wildflowers. Joseph specializes in creating compelling imagery bringing the viewer into the scene asif they were standing there in person.  Joseph has travelled and photographed extensively from the backcountry here his native state, beautiful Colorado to the peaks of Patagonia, coastlines of the Pacific Northwest all the way tothe Souks of Morocco and deserts of Africa.  Joseph's tagline, Explore.Learn.Share. comes from a simple desire to take everything he has learned and experienced in the field and share that with others from private 1:1 photo tours topost processing techniques getting your images to look their best for print. May 18th - Images picked up by artists and buyers; 9am-11am

Prizes
Total Cash awards are estimated at $3,250. Best of Show as well as first and second place winners in each category will be awarded gallery space for several weeks at the Lone Tree Arts Center following the photo show. Awards include, first, second and third place in every category, Best of Show and People’s Choice.

Exploring the Light - 2017 Photo Show Book for Purchase
With photographer’s permission, the Lone Tree Photo Club will compose a book with accepted entries representing Exploring the Light 2017. Accepted images will be printed with the photographer’s name and information about the image such as location, camera and the story behind the photo. Exploring the Light will be available for viewing and purchase online after the close of the show in June 2017.
