1.
What if I move, and don't receive a court notice?
You are responsible for notifying the court at the above telephone number of any change in your address. Failure to notify the court may result in missed court dates and subsequent fines.
2.
What happens if I miss my court date?
If you are scheduled for court and neglect to appear, you have 10 days to contact the court and reschedule your court date. If you do not contact the court, a warrant for your arrest or a default judgment will be executed by the court.
Failing to appear before the judge is considered contempt of court, and any fines issued by the judge will be in addition to any fines you may incur from the original offense. The judge may also order your incarceration for contempt of court.
3.
If I have a large fine to pay, can I pay it off a little at a time?
You may apply to the court for a time-payment plan. Failure to comply with the terms of the time-payment plan may result in a warrant for your arrest.
