The City of Lone Tree City Council consists of five elected members including the Mayor. Each member serves a staggered, four year-term and represents one of two districts within Lone Tree, except for the Mayor, who serves as an At-Large member.  Members of the City Council represent the residents of Lone Tree and can be contacted about community questions, comments or concerns.

City Council Meetings

Lone Tree City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

These meetings are held at the Lone Tree Civic Center, 8527 Lone Tree Parkway, and are open to the public. The meetings are structured as follows:

Study Sessions at 4:30 pm: the City Council will hold a Study Session where it receives presentations from staff or invited guests on various topics. The public is welcome to attend Study Sessions virtually, however, there is no public comment.

Executive Sessions at 6:00 pm: the City Council may hold an Executive Session between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. These are meetings where only the City Council, the city attorney, and select city staff may attend. The reason for an Executive Session will be announced publically at 6:00 pm in the City Council Chambers if an Executive Session is held.

Regular Meetings at 7:00 pm: the City Council’s regular meeting is where the City Council votes on formal actions and receives public comment. Comments from the public are welcome at three different occasions during the regular meeting: during the scheduled public comment portion of the agenda, during a scheduled public hearing, or upon invitation of the Mayor at the discretion of City Council.

Mayor Jackie Millet

Lone Tree Mayor, Jackie Millet has called Lone Tree home for the last 22 years. She and her husband feel blessed to have raised and launched their two children in this wonderful community. Mayor Millet has been involved in our local government since 2004 when she joined the Planning Commission. She is a solutions-oriented leader with a proven record of consensus building and successful collaboration. Her years of experience as a Registered Civil Engineer, Council Member and Mayor have afforded Jackie the opportunity to work with a broad range of citizen, business, and government stakeholders to provide real solutions for community challenges.

Jackie has represented Lone Tree on a number of regional organizations including Chair of the Metro Mayors Caucus, Chair of the Denver Regional Council of Governments, the Regional Air Quality Council, the E-470 Board of Directors, and the Partnership of Douglas County Governments. She was recently appointed to newly created State Middle Income Housing Authority and the Colorado Energy Office Future of Gas Steering Committee. Jackie values her reputation as an accessible leader willing to tackle complex issues. She is a well-respected voice on many regional issues including transportation and collaborative government.

Mayor Pro Tem Wynne Shaw

Wynne Shaw has served as a District 1 Council Member since 2016. She has lived in Carriage Club for over 22 years, and has been a proud Colorado resident for over 40 years. Wynne’s professional background is in Financial Services, spending over 23 years at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and TIAA.

She also considers herself a dedicated volunteer. Wynne has led an active chapter of 100 women in a prominent women’s lineage and service organization, is a parliamentarian and an officer in a women’s political club. Additionally, she maintains an educational website and Facebook page to support widows and widowers, inspired by the loss of her husband in an auto accident in 2002.

She has represented the City of Lone Tree in many capacities, including as a Board Member and member of the Executive Committee for DRCOG (Denver Regional Council of Governments).  She is also Vice Chair of the Douglas County Subregional Transportation Forum and past Board Chair and Treasurer for the Douglas County Housing Partnership.

Council Member Mike Anderson

Mike Anderson has served as a Lone Tree City Council member for District 2 since 2018. Prior to his term on the City Council Mike served two terms on the South Suburban Park and Recreation District Board of Directors from 2010 to 2018. His prior professional experience includes over 30 years of engineering, project and technical management in refineries and chemical plants in the United States.

He has lived in Lone Tree with his wife, Cheryl, for over 20 years. They have 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild spread between Seattle, WA, Denver, and Houston, TX.  Mike enjoys the great outdoors, golf, dog walking, and promoting wellness in the community. An avid member of the Lone Tree Men’s Golf Club, his picture is posted at the Lone Tree Golf Course if you search the Grille area!

Mike represents the City throughout the region as a representative to the Centennial Airport Community Noise Roundtable, the Cherry Creek Basin Water Quality Authority Board of Directors, Douglas County Housing Partnership Board of Directors, South Suburban Parks and Recreation, Lone Tree Living and Aging Well Commission, and collaboration work with Park Meadow Metro District.

Council Member Marissa Harmon

Marissa is a wife, a mom, a daughter, a sister and a successful small business owner. She is a co-owner of Roots & Mane, a luxury hair salon and family-run business in Lone Tree. Marissa has previously served on Lone Tree’s Planning Commission and has taken part in Citizen’s Academies with the Lone Tree Police Department and the Denver Regional Council of Governments. She also chaired the Yes on 2E initiative.

Marissa and her husband Chris have been Lone Tree residents in the RidgeGate neighborhood for over 10 years with their two daughters, loving all this city has to offer young families. Whether its a morning hike on the bluffs, a weekend show at Lone Tree Arts Center or a lazy Sunday at Cook Creek Pool, Lone Tree is their home.

Marissa represents the City through work with many organizations, including South Suburban Parks and Recreation, the Douglas County Youth Initiative, the Partnership of Douglas County Governments, the Colorado Municipal League, the Douglas County Homelessness Initiative, and the City’s Audit Committee.

Council Member Cathie Frazzini

Cathie Frazzini was elected to the Lone Tree City Council in May 2016 and served as Mayor Pro Tem from May 2018 to May 2022. She was the co-founder and COO of Patheos.com and has spent more than 25 years as a COO or senior sales executive for software and technology companies both in Colorado and throughout the United States. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of the Pacific. She has also held executive director positions for several nonprofits and is an active fundraiser for organizations with an emphasis in freedom of speech, education, human rights, and the promotion of arts and culture.

Cathie represents the City on the Colorado Municipal League Policy Committee and the Partnership of Douglas County Governments

Lone Tree City Council Terms
Terms of office are established by the City’s CharterThe Mayor and Council members shall serve no more than two (2) full consecutive terms in one (1) office or eight (8) consecutive years, whichever is longer, commencing after the effective date of this Charter. A person may serve two (2) consecutive terms as Mayor and two (2) consecutive terms as a Council member without a break between offices, or fewer terms in either office, without violating the terms hereof. For purposes of these term limits, one (1) Council member position is the same as any other Council member position.
