June 15th featuring Dotsero and Hamilton Loomis
Hamilton Loomis
Dotsero: Taking their name from a small mountain town in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, DOTSERO means “Something Unique” according to Ute Native American legend to some. It means DOT-ZERO on the earliest geographical railroad maps to others, but to jazz fans worldwide DOTSERO means Smooth Jazz at its best, full of life energy and spontaneity that few artists in the genre have been able to match. A no nonsense sax and guitar driven thrill ride of energy and excitement. http://www.dotsero.org/
Hamilton Loomis: “If blues, soul, and rock can be said to form a triangle, you’ll find Hamilton Loomis right in the center of it”, says Guitar Player Magazine. An apt description, as young Loomis is one of the young artists at the forefront of bringing blues based American music into the 21st century and redefining it for a contemporary audience. Spanning youth and tradition, Loomis bridges the gap between generations of music-lovers both in the U.S. and around the world. Whereas similar aged acts like Black Keys, Robert Randolph and White Stripes play American rock music with heavy blues influences, Loomis plays the inverse. His is an undeniably blues based artist escalating into what All Music Guide calls
“…a mixed bag of modern blues, modern funk, and slick soul.” http://www.hamiltonloomis.com/index.htm
July 20th featuring The Samples and Mary Louise Lee Band
The Samples
The Samples: 25 years after starting his full-fledged music career with The Samples, Sean Kelly continues to delight fans with music that Transcends genres, age and shatters the rules of the established music industry. Throughout his career, Sean has been the driving influence of 20 albums and over 1 million records sold. The Samples are more than a band - they represent a culture of fans and music that go beyond who happens to be playing in the band at any given time. There have been many members of The Samples, but Sean Kelly has been the
consistent factor throughout all of the changes. http://www.thesamples.com/
Mary Louise Lee Band: One of the few natives of Denver, Mary Louise Lee began performing at an early age. For close to 20 years, she has built an extraordinary professional performing career. Internationally, she has toured Korea, Japan, Johnston Island, Honduras, and Panama while singing for the troops of the United States Department of Defense. The Mary Louise Lee Band has opened for many
artists including funk band Confunction; Boyz II Men; Stephanie Mills and the R&B group Surface. In addition, the band has performed locally for Juneteenth Celebrations and Taste of Colorado celebrations. To add to her accomplishments, Mary Louise is an award-winning theatrical stage performer.
