About the Sergeant
Sergeant Richard Sanchez is a twenty-one year veteran of law enforcement. He comes to the City of Lone Tree from the Northglenn Police Department.
Sergeant Sanchez began his career with the City of Lone Tree on January 1, 2005 as a Patrol Officer and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in June of 2005.
He is currently assigned to the Patrol Division as a shift supervisor and serves as a department instructor.

During his tenure with the Northglenn Police Department, Sergeant Sanchez served as a:
- Field Training Officer
- Detective
- Department Instructor
- Core member of the Northglenn/Thornton SWAT Team
Accomplishments
Sergeant Sanchez has earned numerous police related instructor certifications including those necessary to teach police officers statewide for Colorado P.O.S.T. (Peace Officer Standards and Training).
Sergeant Sanchez is a 2007 graduate of the FBI National Academy.
